In the Beginning .........
Songs of Deliverance Ministries' was birthed in the agony of travail & prayer. 1990 was the start of this God assignment while I am in the midst of my desire to be more than just a church member. As intercession accelerated in my life and through the processes - much breaking took place. It was almost as though when looking through my natural eyes that I had missed God. Nevertheless, the journey I am trodding is very much necessary and very much God.
Therefore, I am learning to embrace the processes, while walking with God and without complaining. I am also learning the most important lesson to make it in this life and that is, to trust God. It is all about Him, so why not and He knows everything? Embracing the solitary pathway God has laid before you, brings about many spiritual benefits that God will use you to release this new anointing, this new glory into
His people. Selah!
Beginning as a singer / church member with no real relationship with God, graduating to a worshipper, I am joined to God in a love relationship that I had never experienced in my life before. I had been in church all of my life but didnt know God. God knows I search for love in many relationships more than necessary. However, I do not regret them because I have found my True in the Father. You will just have to hear my story in person, a story of much deliverance and how God delivered me.. Selah. All I can say for now is, I am an absolute representation of God using the foolishness of this world to trip those out who think they got it all together in their own wisdom. Although many individuals have rejected me, and it caused much pain sometimes, God did accept me and has chosen me as His to take His message to the world. He is the Healer, Jehovah Rapha He is and as I am pressing more deeper into His Presence, He is revealing other areas in my life that I had hidden, so He is still healing me! Selah!
The more I go through, the more I press into God. In the midst of that last bad marriage and I mean the last (lol) God transferred me to many different levels in the Spirit. I began to pray in the Spirit in the last two years of that marriage. There was much crying and praying in the Spirit. I did not quite understand everything, but I knew it was God. I began studying and praying out of Revelations Chapters 1- 4 for a good period. I do not remember how long, I would say for about a year or a little over. As I begin to concentrate more of Revelations Chapter 4 and my private, personal prayer time as led by Holy Spirit was from this book. One day during intercession at my local church at this time, as the music played while I was leading intercession, the Spirit of God led me into praying for an open heaven and us hearing
Him call us to a higher place.
On that day during prayer in front of all them people, I had an outer body experience which God took me into the Throne Room of God. This was the beginning of many encounters with God for me. I began to witness and experience Spirit and Truth worship; in heaven (He took me into another realm, not another level - there is a difference, Selah!) I felt the foundations tremble as God's voice thundered and His glory filled the temple; I seen and heard the living beings crying holy, holy, holy; and I saw the 24 elders casting their crowns before the Lord. I seen much and received revelation of what God wanted from His people.
Worship out of a pure, sincere heart and a deep-true relationship with Him is what He longs for from us. He wants worship that will transcend us into His Holy Presence, to His place, to the realm where the door is always opened, oh if we would just enter in! Ascend to His holy hill people of God, ascend. (Psalm 24, Psalm 15)
My life has not been the same since. My mandate from God is to bring His people into His Presence, that's where the deliverance is, in His Presence. It is never the work of a human being, but the work and power of the Holy Ghost. Just like He did with Jacob at Beth-el. Remember Jacob's response after encountering God, "Surely the Lord was in this place and I did not know it!" God is Present everywhere, in the midst of every situation good or bad, but many do not know it. However, you will know this place as you press forth into His Presence. He is waiting for you! Selah! So Jacob built God an altar; the altar is our heart, thus we at Songs of Deliverance Ministries are building God an altar personally and corporately. He said from Psalm 40: 3 to me about me obeying this word the following:
And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
For about 5 years or more we took advantage of the opportunity to minister to seniors at Asbury Harris Epworth Towers. This assignment ended January 2011 due to new directions from God. Other ministry has included women's conferences and meetings, church services that are open to the Spirit of God and how He uses me (remember many divisions and administrations, all from God, Selah!). Previous ministry to women's shelters with an early return as God allows. Past ministry to most of the prisons in the State of Georgia for a period of 10 years. Praise and Worship workshops and seminars.
Many songs have been written after being in the Presence of God as I walked this journey. These songs were mostly birthed during my personal time with Him. I await His appointed time as to when or if these will be revealed publicly. I want to do it, but I must wait on Him for timing, money, everything that concerns it. When the fullness of time comes, it shall come forth in Jesus Name!
